Which load size do I need for a house clearance?
Volume is the main thing that sets the price, so it helps to estimate it before you book. As a rough guide:
- One room or a loft corner: usually Small to Medium (2–4 cubic yards)
- Studio or one-bedroom flat: usually Medium to Large (4–7 cubic yards)
- Two to three-bedroom home: usually X-large to XX-large (10–14 cubic yards)
- Larger family house: may need more than one XX-large load. Call us and we'll plan it with you.
If you're not sure, choose the closer size and list the main items in the booking notes so the team arrives prepared.
How much does a house clearance cost?
These are the same prices our online booking charges. Prices are per collection and exclude VAT (20% is added at checkout). Each volume includes a 30-minute labour allowance and a 200kg weight allowance, and loading is done by our team.

Why use a licensed waste carrier?
In England, householders and businesses have a legal duty of care to give their waste only to a registered waste carrier. If an unlicensed "man with a van" fly-tips your rubbish, you can be fined. Every London Waste Clearance collection comes with a waste transfer note, so you have proof your waste was handled legally.
